They are trying to create a relaxing atmosphere. Besides, your applicant is very confident to express and answer the questions. If I apply for a job, I would prefer a face-to-face job interview. The reason why I chose this is because I can directly interact with the recruiter and understand each other easily. Meeting in person helps me discuss some problems smoothly and I can see how they wear.
I remember the last time I made a good impression was in 2020. I applied to be a server at the small restaurant, and I said I was good at English. At that time, there was a foreigner who came to the restaurant, but no one could speak English to help him. So I decided to come and help him order and give him some advice on choosing Vietnamese food there. Luckily, after the customer left, the manager told me that he was extremely impressed by my English.
