A. WARM- UP a. Goal: Refresh pupils' memory of the previous unit b. Organization: - T ask SS what do they do at school, the Ss answer then share with their partner. - T write the tiitle “My world” on the board anf model it for the class to repeat a few times then tell pupils what they will learn in this lesson. B. PRESENTATION (10’) Activity 1. Look and listen a. Goal: To correctly pronounce the words b. Organization - T points to the pictures then says the words and let the children repeat - T calls on one student repeat these new words in front of class - T correct their pronunciation if necessary, and praise them when their pronunciation is good. C. PRACTICE Activity 2. Listen and point. Say a. Goal: To correctly pronounce the words b. Organization - T plays the recording then the children point to the correct words - T place the flashcards on the board. Play recording a second time for children to point and say the words - T ask Ss the Vietnamese meaning of these words, - T calls on one student repeat these new words in front of class - T correct their pronunciation if necessary, and praise them when their pronunciation is good. *Vocabulary: - Bird (n): Con chim - Butterfly (n): con bướm - Tree (n): cái cây - Sky (n): bầu trời Activity 3. Play the game a. Goal: To correct identify the difference between There is/ There are b. Organization - T explain the rules of the game pass the ball: While the music plays, SS pass the ball around the class. When the music stops, the Ss with the ball has to answer the question related to the structure There is/ There are - T explain when use There is/ there are - T asks the class to read the sentences in the picture - T prepare some flashcard about animals, plants, ... for Ss to play the game. D. PRODUCTION a. Goal: To successfully recall the position of target words and pictures b. Organization - T places all the flashcards on the board then asks the children to close their eyes. T takes one card away. When the children open their eyes, ask a volunteer to say what card is missing |
- Ss remember the vocabulary of the last unit.
- Ss look at the pictures and say repeat - Ss point to the correct word - Ss repeat these new words in front of class
- SS listen to the recording - The children have to point to the correct flashcard when they hear it
- Ss listen to teacher’s explanation - Open their book to listen and follow the words as teacher play the recording again. - Ss read the sentences in the picture
- Ss play the game: Pass the ball
- SS close their eyes then open their eyes to say the missing card. |
