- Vocabulary: use the lexical items related to the topic "My time": Where spend time and free time activities

- Talk about how to spend time.

- Language: get acquainted with the topic "Traffic".

- Problem solving: find out the correct answer about the text

  1. TEACHING AIDS

T : Textbook, lesson plan, , a projector, a laptop.

Ss : Learn the old lesson, prepare Unit 1: My time (Vocabulary – Where we spend time)

  1. PROCEDURE
  2. WARM UP: ( 5’)
  3. Goal: Motivate ss to interest in the topic of the lesson and create the fun atmosphere before starting the new lesson.
  4. Content : Talk about "Favourite places”
  5. Expected result: Ss can understand the lesson and use the road well.
  6. Performance:

T reads the questions with the class:

- What are your favorite places?

- Where do you spend most of your time?

Then T elicits from individual students what their favorite places are and where they spend time.

  2. Goal: Provide Ss necessary vocabularies .
  3. Content : Learning vocabularies
  4. Expected result: Ss can master the vocabularies
  5. Performance:

Step 1: Transfer of duties

+ Present new words.

- Teacher use different techniques to teach vocabulary (situation, realia)

- Follow the seven steps of teaching vocabulary

Step 2: Perform the duties

- Repeat in chorus and individually

- Copy all the words

Step 3: Discussion

-Some students repeat the vocabulary in front of class

Step 4: Conclusion

- T makes sure that all student copy the new words and the meaning of them

VOCABULARY:

-T checks that ss understand all the words

2. Complete the sentences below so that they are true for you. Use words from exsercises1

- T checks that SS understand don’t mind.

- T read out the example answer and elicit one or two more

Step 2: Perform the duties

- Ss complete the phrases with their own ideas

Step 3: Discussion

- T asks some Ss to tell the class their idea.

3. Complete the Time of your life quiz with words from exercises 1. Then choose the correct option in blue and compare your answer.

Step 1: Transfer of duties

- T asks Ss to focus on the quiz and then explains that have the time of your life is an expression meaning to have fun.

- T asks Ss to read through the information in the Remember box.

- T points out that the use of prepositions in English may not be the same as in the student’s language

Step 2: Perform the duties

- Ss read the quiz and complete with the correct words.

- Ss read the quiz again and choose the correct options in blue

- Ss compare their answer in pairs

Step 1: Transfer of duties

- T asks Ss to read through the questions with the class. Allow students time to prepare their answer individually then puts them into pairs to ask and answer questions

Step 2: Perform the duties

- Ss work in pairs to ask and asnwer questions

Step 3: Discussion

- T asks some Ss to tell the class some thng about their partner

Step 4: Conclusion

-T listens then gives comment on ss’s perfomance

*After the phrase spend time we can use  a phrase or we can use an –ing form of a verb

- Learn by heart new vocabulary

- Prepare new lesson: Unit 1: Reading (Screen time)
